Buyer FAQs

When should I speak to a lender about purchasing a home?

When you think you’re ready or interested in buying a home is always a great time to speak to a lender. You have no obligations to use any lender that you speak with. Speaking with a lender; being transparent about your credit and personal finances will help any lender with integrity guide you on the next steps. I have more than a handful of trusted lender partners I’d be happy to refer you to. Here are a few below. Let me know if you’d like an email introduction.

Do I need a real estate agent to purchase a home?

In full transparency, no. You could navigate the process yourself. Would you remove a wisdom tooth yourself? Probably not. Working with an expert Realtor is just as important as working with an expert car mechanic, doctor, lawyer, or plumber. As your Real Estate agent, I know how to negotiate the best purchase price for you, give you insights into the market, and have a list of individuals who can assist you with your home needs.

What are the steps in the home buying process?

After you find an agent and get pre-approved for your mortgage loan, it’s time to search for your new property. Together, we’ll discuss what you’re looking for, likes, dislikes, must-haves, and most importantly your budget. Once we nail down some properties you are interested in, we’ll set up some times to go check out the properties of interest.

The Earnest Money deposit is an upfront deposit of money that shows you are a serious buyer.

What will happen if my offer gets rejected?

While it is not an ideal scenario, rejections happen. However, as we found the previous property, I will work just as hard to find another perfect property.

What happens during the inspection process?

A certified home inspector will complete a thorough inspection of the property to ensure everything is in working order before closing on the property. If the inspector flags anything of concern, our attorney partner will negotiate on your behalf for any repair requests.

Seller FAQs

How do you determine the best list price for my property?

I will put together a free comprehensive Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) report to determine the best price to sell your property. The report will inform you of what properties similar to yours are selling for and how your property will compete in the market.

How do I know it is the right time to sell?

As a Real Estate expert, I am constantly staying abreast of the current trends & interest rates. We will work together to determine the best time for your property to hit the market in order for you to gain the highest profit.

How do you plan on marketing my property?

The primary modality for marketing your property will be on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). The MLS database allows real estate agents to access pertinent information about your property. Outside of the MLS, I will use my network and host Open Houses to find a qualified buyer for your property.
